Programs Security Guards & Supervisors A classroom delivered program that is developed through Alberta Advanced Education and is intended for delivery to individuals who require extensive knowledge of job requirements prior to being deployed on job sites as security guards (40 hours including examination). An e-learning program that is intended for individuals being deployed to job sites as security guards that require a basic knowledge in dealing with emergent situations, general duties & responsibilities, legal authorities and report writing (16 hours including examination). A classroom delivered program that is intended for delivery to existing supervisors or security officers who are being considered for advancement and require training in managing people, administrative duties, enhanced incident management and relationship management (40 hours including examination). The duties performed by security guards and supervisory personnel differ in some degree at each job site. There are situations where additional knowledge is essential beyond what is applied through general or generic training. At SOCC we can adapt existing training modules or develop specific modules to tailor fit your knowledge needs.
